On October 31st, 2005 the provincial government acknowledged the cancer risk that fire fighters face and introduced legislation for WCB to recognize certain cancer related claims for career fire fighters. Thanks to an over whelming flood of support, on November 16th, this was extended to include volunteer fire fighters. See the following press releases for details.
